Mcafee autoupdate architect download

I was told that was a known problem and would be fixed in 1. It had to be full replication. I had loaded the beta version MAA1. It did fix the incremental problem. I didn't get a chance to do much evaluation because the hard-drive went out on the ePO server. I also upgrade to ePO 3. It's got some of the same problems there but I haven't had any problem with a manual pull.

Had this same problem and after beating my head against this for an hour, I made a change to the cfg of the master, undid the change and this is important clicke the 'Apply' button What's causing this? Not sure but just prior to this cropping up I upgraded the machine from 4.

Cheers for the input. Still not sorted this out yet, but I'm corresponding with someone at Network Associates Technical Support who's throwing a few ideas at me. If I manage to get this sorted satisfactorily I'll leave the solution here wishful thinking! You got the error because the download path in the pull task is not correct. The download path that you've mentioned is exactly the same as the one that I'm trying to use.

I've talked to one of the support staff at Network Associates who thinks that the problem might be related to my proxy settings. However, I've selected the "use the same proxy settings as Internet Explorer", which works fine, and I don't understand why I can see that the download path contains the latest versions but that I can't actually download from it.

I'm still clueless on this issue.. A bit old thread, but I am curious if you ever found the answer on that error. My autoupdatearchitect just stopped doing its pulltasks since 2 weeks after working correctly for many months.

I really do not know what I have changed on my server i do change a lot , but certainly no settings of mcafee products, internet explorer settings or whatsoever.

If I do an update directly from the VS7. I'm afraid we never did come up with an answer to this. Join Us! By joining you are opting in to receive e-mail.

I ran into the same problem on my ePO server, as well as all repositories last week - a simple reboot of each server got rid of the 'Access Denied' message in every case Tks to all.

Whenever I get the "Access Denied" error when I perform the Pull Now task manually, it is usually when the AutoUpdate Architect is doing a scheduled pull at the same time. As soon as the scheduled task completes, then a manual Pull Now works fine. In most cases, I would be denied for about 5 minutes. If the download takes longer than usual, then I would be locked out longer. Could it be possible that the scheduled job is hanging on your side? Maybe you can verify that you have the proper directory permissions for the DAT files to pull down to and then try creating a job to run once to see if it completes successfully?

Good Luck. With ePo 3. You can check the sitemgr. I also had problems with scheduled tasks pull and replication task on ePo 3. We use Linux FTP Server as repositories, and we had change the ftp programs on linux, because the old one was not compatible with ePo.

Now, we use WuFTP, and it's work fine. Confirm the following files are present: 3. NOTE: If the folder opens but these files are missing, the issue lies with the process or application that is responsible for populating this repository. If the folder does not open, the repository may not exist or the logged on user may not have the correct read permissions to access the share. Select the appropriate repository from the list, then click Edit.

Ensure that the UNC path is correct. The Use logged-on user box can be selected if the update will be taking place when a user is logged on to the computer and the user has the correct permissions.
