For the approach to Modern Driver Management we need to populate ConfigMgr with regular packages for client machines. Read the documentation embedded in the download package for Driver Automation Tool for more information on how the tool can be utilized. Modern Driver Management solution used to require the community developed ConfigMgr WebService, however is from now integrated with native functionality available in ConfigMgr, the Administration Service AdminService for short.

To proper access this data, for instance driver package information created by the Driver Automation Tool, an authentication is required and for this Modern Driver Management requires a service account. But in order to successfully be read driver package information from a running task sequence in ConfigMgr, the service account needs to be provided access to ConfigMgr under:.
